Objective 2: Greater interaction between power branches to institutionalize organizational development capacity

PDP-II will work with Parliament, the Presidential Secretariat and Cabinet of Ministers to engage in efforts to institutionalize staff and organizational development capacity.

With the Ukrainian Parliament. PDP II  will explore ways to institutionalize policy development capacity by assuming new functions in training of staff, MPs, and MP aides; and continued management of the parliamentary internship program.

PDP II will work with the Presidential Secretariat and Cabinet of Ministers to develop and institutionalize such capacity in policy-making bodies including  the introduction of a competitive internship program to the policy-making institutions of the executive branch.

Verkhovna Rada Committee on Fighting Organized Crime and Corruption issued printed copies of the new Law of Ukraine “On Trafficking in Persons”

In November 2011 the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Fighting Organized Crime and Corruption issued printed copies of the new Law of Ukraine “On Trafficking in Persons” which went into effect on October 15, 2011 as well as related revised articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and the Code of Administrative Violations.

The Secretariat of the Cabinet Ministers of Ukraine with support of the Parliamentary Development Project for Ukraine launched a bulletin for civic councils. The first issue was presented to representatives of civic councils in Kiev, in the Club of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, July 5.
