The Parliamentary Development Project for Ukraine II together with the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine conducted a seminar for members of the civic councils attached to the regional state administrations. The event was held in the Club of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on July 5 in Kiev. There are about 70 people took part at the seminar including representatives of the Department of Information and Communication of the CMU Secretariat, Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, PDP II, and civic councils. The event was focused on familiarization of participants with the innovations in anti-corruption legislation, with the basics of the legislative and regulatory processes, and with the Problem Solving Method of public policy analysis. Participants were also presented the new internet platform www.e-gov.net.ua, integrated to the government website "Civil society and government." This resource was developed by "Eksor" firm on the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Minister’s request with support of PDP II. It is aimed to increase access for civil society to the decision-making process. The web platform contains an automated system for making civil expertise of the regulations, for determination of priorities of regional policy and more. The new platform currently is undergoing tests. The representatives of civic councils were urged to participate in piloting this tool.
