Mission

Indiana University's Parliamentary Development Project (PDP) for Ukraine is an international project implementing the USAID (United States Agency for International Development) Democratic Parliamentary Strengthening Program in Ukraine. PDP provides technical and consulting support to the Ukrainian Parliament - the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine - to promote democratic changes in the Ukrainian community.

PDP cooperates with Parliamentary Factions, Committees, Secretariat and supporting services thus contributing to more efficient democratic changes inside the Parliament, improving the legislative and executive branches' interaction, encouraging more open public access to lawmaking processes and stimulating the citizens and the Verkhovna Rada communication process.

OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES A TENDER TECHNOLOGICAL PROJECTS

Ohio State University, Implementer of the United States Agency for International Development Legislative Policy Development Program (PDP II) Project Parliamentary Development Project II, as part of its technical assistance plan with the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and central authorities to implement e-governance technologies and standards of the European authorities announced a competition among enterprises and organizations the implementation of technological projects, namely:

SPEAKER VOLODYMYR LYTVYN AND U.S. AMBASSADOR JOHN TEFFT AWARD CERTIFICATES TO GRADUATES OF FIFTEENTH GROUP OF PARLIAMENTARY INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Verkhovna Rada Speaker Volodymr Lytvyn and U.S. Ambassador John Tefft today awarded certificates to 74 graduates of USAID’s 2009-2010 Parliamentary Internship Program. This is the fifteenth year of the Parliamentary Internship Program’s operation in Ukraine.

“Civil society and the authorities" and "Government site for young citizens" calendar

The Parliamentary Development Project II has, in cooperation with the Directorate for Public Liaison of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, printed a calendar to present the "Civil society and the authorities" and "Government site for young citizens" websites. The aim of cooperation is to broaden and raise the fullness of public access to the legislative process.
