Petro Symonenko, the leader of the Communist Party of Ukraine and one of the participants in consultations called to discuss the possible dissolution of Parliament, has said he cannot predict whether President Viktor Yushchenko will issue a decree disbanding the legislative body.
The Ukrainian news channel 5 Kanal showed him commenting on the consultations process today. "The president set a task: pass changes to the state budget and I then I will think whether or not there will be an election." When asked whether Yushchenko would dissolve Parliament today, Symonenko added: "I want to repeat: our President is a strange man. He says one thing but does another, so I do not know what he will do in the near future. This is a question for him."
