Party of Regions leader Viktor Yanukovych has said that there is no alternative to uniting all key political forces in Parliament. Yanukovych said this today at a meeting with the US ambassador to Ukraine, William Taylor, the party's press service has said. "There is no alternative to uniting the key political forces represented in Parliament. A bad peace is better than a good war, which is why we are forced to come to terms for the sake of Ukraine," Yanukovych said. He said that the Party of Regions created negotiation groups with all parliamentary factions. "It is impossible to create a stable coalition without the Party of Regions, as we represent half of Ukraine. It is impossible not to take this into account," Yanukovych said. He added that the results of the talks would show what kind of format a coalition would have. At the same time, he did not rule out an early election. The faction of the Party of Regions is the largest in the Parliament of the current convocation. |
