| Opposition Party of Regions blames Cabinet for rising inflation |

The opposition Party of Regions has rejected Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko's accusations against it. Tymoshenko had said earlier that the policies of the previous Yanukovych Cabinet had triggered the rise in inflation. "Tymoshenko's statements that the Viktor Yanukovych Cabinet is responsible for growing inflation and price rises holds no water," the party said in a statement. The Party of Regions stressed that "the Orange team inherited balanced accounts, solid agreements on energy supplies" and a country well-prepared for winter and a good start of stable development. "We call on the new head of government to finally begin systematic and diligent work, which cannot be replaced by a high-quality PR campaign," the statement added. |
