MPs annul Tax Code adopted in first reading recently PDF Print E-mail

Ukrainian MPs today voted to annul the Tax Code adopted recently in the first reading. A total of 251 MPs voted in favor of the relevant resolution, which also withdrew the Tax Code from consideration by Parliament.

Parliament also instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to submit a new draft of the Tax Code taking into account the results of public discussion.

The Tax Code was adopted in the first reading on June 17. However, its provisions evoked controversy and on July 8 Parliament voted to send it for public debate during the recent summer period.

Verkhovna Rada Committee on Fighting Organized Crime and Corruption issued printed copies of the new Law of Ukraine “On Trafficking in Persons”

In November 2011 the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Fighting Organized Crime and Corruption issued printed copies of the new Law of Ukraine “On Trafficking in Persons” which went into effect on October 15, 2011 as well as related revised articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and the Code of Administrative Violations.
