Parliamentary speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn has said that the current coalition will continue to operate in its current format of the parliamentary factions of the Party of Regions, Lytvyn Bloc and Communist Party. A number of individuals MPs from opposition factions are also official members of the coalition. "I am confident that the basis of the coalition made of three factions will be preserved," Lytvyn said, adding that Parliament lacks a constructive opposition with alternative views to those of the coalition. The Stability and Reforms coalition was formed on March 11 after the election of Viktor Yanukovych as president of Ukraine. |
