MPs of the opposition Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc are blocking the parliamentary rostrum this morning. A poster draped across the parliamentary speaker’s table reads “Makarenko protected Ukraine”.
There is a poster behind the parliamentary rostrum with the words: “Money, gas and power for bandits. Jail for patriots. V. Yanukovych.” Other posters in the parliamentary session hall contain the inscriptions: “Freedom for patriot Makarenko!”, “Yanukovych, Firtash and Khoroshkovskiy=gas mafia”. Chairs are blocking the doors leading to the parliamentary rostrum. The former head of the State Customs Service, Anatoliy Makarenko, was detained on June 23 as a witness in the criminal case on the illegal customs clearance of gas that belonged to the RosUkrEnergo company. He worked under the previous Cabinet of Ministers led by Yulia Tymoshenko.
